Accomodations
Participants attending are responsible for the cost of their lodging and meals.
If you are having problems getting lodging here are some tips, try Redwood City, Mountain View, or Sunnyvale. Palo Alto and Menlo Park are likely to be full now. Some big hotel chains are Best Western and Holiday Inn. Any motel in one of these cities is only a 10-20 minute drive. In some cases you can walk to the Caltrain train station and then when you get to Stanford campus take the Marguerite Shuttle up to SLAC. It takes longer but works if you do not have a rental car. There is plenty of free parking at SLAC if you do rent a car.
The Stanford Guest House is located on the SLAC site, where the summer school is being conducted. To receive the discounted group rate of $75 per night + 10% Occupancy Tax you must state that you are a part of the ULTRAFAST SUMMER SCHOOL. Reservation deadline is May 08, 2007 - Tuesday, after this date the room block will be released and availability will be very limited due to other concurrent events.
Rooms with bunk beds may be available at the same rate, please inquire if you are interested.
